Our standard sizing works best on:
Standard 4 to 5 hole shoes
Types of shoes that may require a bit more evaluating for the right fit:
Shoes that have irregular widths between the lace holes or are narrower or wider than standard should be manually measured
- Keds and Vans, along with various other sports shoes, can sometimes run their shoelace holes further apart, best to manually measure.
- 2 and 3 hole shoes – It’s best to manually measure to guarantee the right fit. Dr Martens, dress shoes and some school shoes will generally require a custom smaller size
- 6 hole shoes – Laceez can definitely work but best to manually measure
- 7 to 8 holes – Laceez can definitely work but best to manually measure
- Some shoes have a lace that stretches slightly. When measuring, make sure the original lace has no stretch.
Hightops & Boots – Although Laceez are designed for shoes, they can definitely work on hightops and boots but will require the user manually measure.

I bought some for my son who still struggles with patience when tying laces. At first they were great but after about 3-4 weeks of wear the tittle broke from one end of one shoe lace and is now unusable.
I bought some for myself for shoes I wanted to make slip ones and so far they are great. Hoping it was a one off manufacturing issue with my sons laces.
Hi Maegen, thank you for your feedback. We’re glad your own laces are working well, but we’re sorry your son’s lace broke after only a few weeks. That certainly isn’t the experience we want for our customers.
Please contact us with your order details and we’ll arrange a replacement. If you can also send us his shoe size, shoe type and number of eyelets, we can check that the lace length is suitable, as too much tension can sometimes cause the aglet to fail.
All Laceez are assembled here in Brisbane using a hydraulic press, so we’d also like to inspect the broken lace to determine what happened if you don’t mind sending through photos please.
Once these are one, I haven't need to do anything else.
